In the first quarter of 2025, the top Maps and Navigation apps on Android in New Zealand demonstrated varied performance across key metrics such as downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for each app based on data from Sensor Tower.

Navionics® Boating from Garmin saw a gradual decline in weekly revenue, dropping from around $8.8K in early January to $3.5K by the end of March. Downloads also decreased from 268 to 82 over the same period, while active users fell from 445 to 301.

Spacetalk experienced a peak in weekly revenue at $1.3K in late February, with a slight decline to $947 by the end of March. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 98 and ending at 43, while weekly active users decreased from 408 to 331.

Trailforks maintained relatively stable revenue, beginning at $1.1K and closing the quarter at $824. Downloads started at 184 and ended at 84, and active users saw a decrease from 1.5K to 1.2K.
